Trina Julian

Chief Executive Officer

Trina Julian is the Founder of Country Girl Gardens, established in 2015. The inspiration for starting a landscape company began when she became passionate about gardening and growing a good amount of her own fruits and vegetables at home.

Trina is passionate about providing landscape services that are good for the client, and also good for the environment. This is done by hiring people who are passionate about the same things and ensuring that they are knowledgeable about soil conditions, plants, and proper installation of hardscapes and softscapes. We strive to mostly use environmentally friendly herbicides, pesticides, and horticulture practices.

Trina is a graduate of the University of Idaho, with a degree in Business Management. She is passionate about building an environment where people can become their best selves. In the winter months when landscaping is slower, she provides opportunities for her employees to expand their knowledge through attending classes related to landscaping and  irrigation; completing certifications whenever possible.

Trina lives on a small farm in Hayden, Idaho with her husband Dylan and her many fur children. During her spare time she loves to horseback ride and she also competes in endurocross and hard enduro races on her dirtbike.

John Campbell

Project Superintendent

John Campbell joined the Country Girl Gardens family at the beginning of 2020. He is a cornerstone to the company and his passion for hard work in the great outdoors and the creative elements that he brings to the table as superintendent are critical to the team!

John was born in Southern California, but spent his formative years in Oregon. Which is where his journey into landscaping and home remodeling began. After honing his skills through various construction trades over 20 years, John realized his true calling was in Landscaping Design and Irrigation. Two years ago, John relocated his wife and 2 kids from Arizona to the great state of Idaho and has never looked back! John states that there is absolutely nothing like turning someone’s vision into a reality for them. He takes great pride in creating a sustainable space for our clients to enjoy for years to come.

In his off time, you will find John strumming on his guitar playing anything from Pantera to Pink Floyd. Or on the sunny days, he is out enjoying all the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest, including being out on the lake fishing with his kids.

Don Edson is one of the newest members of Country Girl Gardens, joining the team in the spring of
2022.

He joined Country Girl Gardens after a 30 plus year career with the City of Warden, Washington where he was the public works supervisor responsible for coordinating jobs in all departments including water, sewer, streets and parks.

Don has always enjoyed working outside to make outdoor spaces look nice and inviting, whether it be at a park for the city or his own yard. He is looking forward to meeting and working with the clients of Country Girl Gardens to make their yards and spaces nice for them.

Outside of work, he enjoys working in his yard, hiking and mountain biking. Most of all, he enjoys
spending time with his family.

Emma Hitchcock

Executive Assistant

Emma joined the Country Girl Gardens family in May of 2022 and works closely with Trina in the office, keeping the company functioning. She originally hails from California, where she worked as the Office Manager at a veterinary clinic. The skills she possesses from her previous role have prepared her to jump into her role here at CGG. She is loving learning more about landscaping and plant maintenance everyday. In addition to assisting in the office, she manages the social media for the company.

She attended California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. During her time in college and through Cal Poly’s hands-on approach of “Learn by Doing,” she was immersed in agriculture and learned lots about where our food comes from, both animal and plant sources. This ignited a passion in her to have her own farm someday on which to produce meat, milk, eggs, and produce for her family. Ultimately this led her, her husband, their dog, and 2 horses here to Northern Idaho.

In her spare time, she enjoys expanding her knowledge about plants, permaculture, and sustainable farming practices, while waiting to be able to start her farmstead. She can often be found out in the forest exploring, hunting, and soaking up the beauty of Idaho’s wilderness.
